EXPERIENCE
Since 1988, founder and President of Building Diagnostics Associates with responsibility for technical, administrative and business development functions. Projects include investigations, preparation of construction documents, bidding and construction administration for built-up, modified bitumen, clay and concrete tile, single ply, shingle, metal and coated polyurethane foam roofing, structural concrete, masonry, stucco, glazed curtain wall and sealant problems. Real estate consulting projects include code compliance surveys, pre-purchase condition surveys, and construction document reviews.
Seven years prior experience as Director of the Southeast Regional Office of a national rehabilitative architecture & engineering firm, Hoffmann Architects, North Haven, Connecticut. Projects included roofing investigations and replacements for single ply, built-up, coated polyurethane foam, shingle, and slate roofs, structural concrete repair, exterior wall investigations and repairs, construction document reviews and physical condition surveys. Previous experience as intern architect with T. J. Palmer, Architect, Cobalt, Connecticut
Seminar lecturer on roofing problems and analysis, roof management plans and other rehabilitation related topics.
Author of many magazine articles and anthology contributions on various building system topics. Contributing Editor of Building Operating Management magazine.
